NURD  is a rising R&B / Neo Soul singer -songwriter that is on a mission to use her music as a bridge, bringing understanding and hope through her powerful voice. Born and raised in the cultural hub of Leimert Park, NURD’s musical journey began early in the church choir , surrounded by the rhythms and stories of her city. She cites her influences as Nina Simone, Erykah Badu , Mary Mary , Jazmin Sullivan and SZA. She also draws her inspiration from her love of the arts , such as music and art  Apart from her mesmerizing voice, NURD is a dedicated advocate for mental health, especially within the Black community. “ Music was my therapy to release my mind.  [ my episodes] sometimes can be chaotic so , music is my way I communicate to God.” NURD is a proud member of LGBTQA+ community and works hard to share her experiences to help those who need a voice.
